Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Collaboration Services (S&T CS) is one of Sales&Trading (S&T)’s business units. CS develops products and capabilities to enable collaboration between our customers’ teams and their counterparties, such as the RM instant messaging network or the space.reuters.com blogging platform. We use many technologies in these project such MS SharePoint, LCS, and C#.

There is approx 20 QA staff in the team, we are focused on functional and non-functional testing, and developing our own automate test tool.

The QA Manager will be accountable for the overall product quality and will manage all testing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining testing infrastructure, including test tools and environments.
  • Represents the QA function to senior management.
  • Communicates with other groups and individuals on behalf of QA function.
  • Be accountable for the quality of testing performed within area of responsibility.
  • Defines QA Strategy for a development group, program of work, or range of projects.
  • Creates high-level QA plans for major projects and program of work.
  • Manages multiple QA teams.
  • Ensures that QA activities are adequately resourced in terms of staff, test environments and test tools.
  • Ensures that all staff involved in testing receives adequate training.
  • Ensures that test environments are properly managed and controlled.
  • Represents the QA function to project managers, delivery managers, users and business sponsors.
  • Acts as a champion for QA within the organization.
  • Defines (with others) the organization’s policy on QA process, QA organization, tools and automation.
  • Ensures compliance with testing and development methodology and policies

Qualifications

  • Can demonstrate the successful release of complex software products, achieving quality targets while building a sustainable test capability through appropriate automation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years testing, quality assurance or other development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project and staff management with strong track record of managing teams of technology staff
  • Experience of working on geographically distributed & multi disciplinary project streams
  • High awareness of customer service
  • Substantial experience of building, leading and motivating teams.
  • Strong leadership and good interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and able to work in dynamic environments
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

Applicants must be legally able to work in Thailand without the company having to provide a work permit.
